Declare Independence from Wobbly Tables

Did you know?

  • 64% of Americans will attend a barbecue or cookout this Fourth of July.
  • Around 150 million hot dogs will be consumed by Americans on the Fourth of July.
  • Americans will buy 63.5 million cases of beer over the holiday. It’s the biggest holiday of the year for beer sales.

CookoutIndependence Day is the biggest day for cookouts each year in America. People everywhere will pull a seat up to a wobbly table set up in a backyard for a feast of hot dogs, potato salad, and all the traditional fare.

While we’re celebrating American independence, you should also declare independence from wobbly tables and chairs!

Make it possible for your customers to impress their guests with wobble-free tables and chairs in their backyards by adding STABLZ Tap to Adapt Technology to your products.

STABLZ Tap to Adapt Technology features a patented, game changing vertical support, triangular in shape, that adapts easily to any surface. A simple tap of the foot pivots the triangle resulting in four points of contact on any terrain. No bending over or tools required — it’s that simple!

Picnic Table with STABLZ Tap to Adapt Technology

Wobbly Tables Don’t Have to be a Restaurant Nightmare

I’m a former restauranteur, so I’m keenly aware of the customer experience in the industry. Time and time again, I’ve read surveys that rank wobbly tables among the top restaurant nightmares for customers.

Take this article, for example: https://www.lovefood.com/news/amp/59008/top-five-restaurant-nightmares.Wobbly table with napkins

Author Priscilla Pollara notes, “To notice a wobbly table, is to notice how often one places their elbows on the table. But a lop-sided, rattling table can cause other – more annoying – issues. Spilt drinks, sudden jolts leaving cutlery in the air and coffee cups emptying their contents into the saucer, among various other things.”

I would argue that a wobbly table becomes the center of attention in a dining experience. It can take the focus off a wonderful conversation with a friend, a business meeting with a potential client, or even a steak dinner cooked and seasoned to perfection.

Luckily, there is a solution to the widespread problem of wobbly tables. It’s STABLZ with Tap To Adapt™ Technology, and it’s ready to elevate your (product) customer experience.

STABLZ Tap To Adapt™ Technology features a patented, game changing vertical support, triangular in shape, that adapts easily to uneven surfaces. A simple tap of the foot pivots the triangle resulting in four points of contact on any terrain. No bending over or tools required — it’s that simple!

Temporary Shelter is Possible Anywhere with STABLZ Technology

The roots of STABLZ are firmly planted in central Ohio. That’s where my alma mater, Otterbein University, is located, and that’s where I went when I was looking to develop prototypes featuring my Tap To Adapt™ Technology.

So when Ohio was struck by 21 tornadoes on May 27 and 28, my heart went out to those who lost their homes. A preliminary damage assessment the first week of June by federal and state agencies identified 942 homes and buildings either destroyed or significantly damaged. And that was just in Ohio. A record number of tornadoes were confirmed across the country during the long series of severe weather in May.

FEMA prepares in advance for severe weather seasons, and as they plan for next year, I hope they consider new technology available for temporary shelter.  STABLZ Tap to Adapt Technology makes it possible for temporary shelter to quickly erect on any terrain with stability.

STABLZ Tap To Adapt™ Technology features a patented, game changing vertical support, triangular in shape, that will adapt easily to uneven surfaces. A simple tap of the foot pivots the triangle resulting in four points of contact on any terrain. No bending over or tools required — it’s that simple!

View a video prototype of a temporary shelter here.

In an emergency, the last thing anyone wants to do is look for flat terrain nearby. STABLZ will take that logistical concern away and let neighbors and first responders focus on the most important thing — the people.

When there’s not an emergency, temporary structures with STABLZ technology are ideal shelters for off-grid hunting and fishing, ice fishing, camping, and backcountry hiking — or even just a night in the backyard with kids!

Several designs are prototyped, tested, and ready for market. Tap To Adapt™ Technology is scalable from a couple of inches to stories high. To learn more about STABLZ products and licensing opportunities, visit taptoadapt.com or contact me at gary@taptoadapt.com or (770) 315-1482.

Indy 500 Winners Have the Edge. Do you?

As many of you know, I recently attended the Indy 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I was a guest of my good friend,  Duke Thorson of ThorSport Racing #18 Sealmaster.

As I watched these world-class crews and cars, the thing that was the most obvious was their attention to detail. Even the slightest improvements can result in faster pit stops and better fuel mileage. Those improvements give a team the edge over their competition.

Do you need an edge over your competition? If your product is elevated off the ground, STABLZ Tap to Adapt Technology will give you that edge resulting in a WOBBLE FREE product.

STABLZ Tap to Adapt Technology features a patented, game changing vertical support, triangular in shape, that will adapt easily to uneven surfaces. A simple tap of the foot pivots the triangle resulting in four points of contact on any terrain. No bending over or tools required — it’s that simple!

We will elevate your (product) customer experience in countless industries, including

  • Restaurants
  • Construction
  • DIY
  • Camping/RV
  • Outdoor furniture
  • BBQ grills
  • Sporting goods
  • Playground and recreational equipment
  • Traffic control and barriers
  • Solar panels
  • Industrial pipes and pipelines
  • Irrigation
  • Car repair
  • And more!

Are you ready to get the edge over your competition and offer your customers a WOBBLE  FREE world?

The Future is Here – Let’s Use it to Make a Wobble Free World!

Wobbly tables drive me crazy. A wobbly table can single-handedly ruin a customer’s
experience. How many times have you seen a spilled glass of water land in someone’s lap?
(Maybe that has happened to you personally.) Or a server on their knees shoving napkins
under a table leg? Does that make you want to come back? What does that do for a
restaurant’s brand?

I have a friend who, when she thinks about one particular Mexican restaurant, only
remembers the time she lost an entire margarita in an epic crash — shattered glass and all
— thanks to a wobbly table. She doesn’t remember how that margarita tasted (or anything
else on the menu, for that matter).

But what bothers me the most about wobbly tables is that they don’t need to exist —there
is a solution!

I was reading an article by Philip Dhingra, “Wobbly Tables and the Problem with Futurism,”
in which he suggests that wobbly tables aren’t going away because, as he puts it, “The
future may already be here, but we don’t use it.” He suggests that restaurant owners
assume that their floors are perfectly flat (they aren’t) and that shoving something under a
table leg is a good solution (it isn’t).

When it comes to wobbly tables, the future IS here. It’s a new line of all terrain products
with Tap To Adapt™ technology called STABLZ™.

STABLZ™ technology features a game changing vertical support, triangular in shape with a
patented pivot and angle of pivot at the apex of the triangle. A simple tap of the foot pivots
the triangle resulting in four points of contact on any terrain. No bending over or tools
required — it’s that simple!

It’s applicable in restaurants, on construction sites, for tailgating and camping — pretty
much any product elevated off the ground. It will make life easier for everyone from
construction workers to weekend handymen, from restaurateurs to flea market vendors,
and from avid campers to soccer moms.

We have completed all the hard work. Working with engineers and up-and-coming
engineering students, we have several designs already prototyped and tested, ready for
market. And we can customize new prototypes to fit your company’s exact needs.
Tap To Adapt™ technology size can range from a couple inches to stories high.

If your company’s products are elevated off the ground, STABLZ™ can be engineered to
your needs and provide your customer all terrain convenience.

Construction Season Calls for Wobble Free Equipment

In much of the U.S., orange barrels are popping up, indicating the start of construction season.

For contractors working on building construction, road construction, or any other construction projects, I’m sure two things are at the top of their minds — convenience and safety. Let’s be honest, unless they are working on perfectly even ground, most construction equipment fails to deliver either of those.

That’s where STABLZ All Terrain Products with Tap to Adapt Technology come in.

STABLZ Technology features a patented, game changing vertical support, triangular in shape that can adapt easily to uneven surfaces. A simple tap of the foot pivots the triangle resulting in four points of contact on any terrain. No bending over or tools required — it’s that simple!

Kayleen McCabe, professional contractor and DIY television host, called products featuring STABLZ technology “a craftman’s dream!”

April Showers Bring May Flowers… and Wind

You know the old children’s rhyme – April showers bring May flowers. But adults know that April showers also bring damaging winds.

Outdoor furniture, playground equipment, camping gear and sporting goods are prone to damage by heavy winds, especially if they sit un uneven ground. A wobbly patio table is an unstable patio table.

That’s why STABLZ™ technology is perfect for the great outdoors.

STABLZ™ All Terrain Products with Tap To Adapt technology features a game changing, patented vertical support that pivots to four points of contact on any terrain with a simple tap of the foot.

Four points of contact can mean the difference between playground equipment staying put or blowing over. It can mean the difference between finding your backyard lounge chaise where you left it or in your neighbor’s flower garden.

If your company manufactures outdoor equipment, we can help you exceed your customers’ needs. We have several designs already prototyped and tested, ready for market. And we can customize new prototypes to fit your company’s exact specs and needs. Go to taptoadapt.com and see what STABLZ™ can do for you today.

Don’t Let A Wobbly Table Make You An April Fool!

It’s April Fool’s Day, the international day for making other people look foolish with pranks. But the one thing you don’t want to happen today, or any other day, is to make your customers look foolish. A wobbly table resulting in a spilled drink can embarrass even customers with the best sense of humor.

The businessperson hoping to land a make-or-break deal at a lunch meeting. The teenager on his first date. The artist who is sketching the next great piece of art right there at the coffee shop table. A spilled glass of water can ruin any of these scenarios.

Wobbly tables rank high on establishing (or hurting) a restaurant’s reputation. If you want examples, just search online restaurant reviews for the term “wobbly” and you’ll read the same nightmare stories I’ve read.

As a serial entrepreneur, including in the restaurant industry, I saw a widespread problem and came up with the solution. It’s called STABLZ™, and it’s a new line of all terrain products with Tap To Adapt™ technology. The innovative design can be applied to equipment for everything from restaurant tables to construction sites to yard sales.

We have several designs already prototyped and tested, ready for market. And we can customize new prototypes to fit your company’s exact specs and needs.

Don’t be a fool, go to taptoadapt.com and see what STABLZ™ can do for you today.

Kayleen McCabe Plans to be First STABLZ Customer

Kayleen McCabe Gets a Sneak Peek at Affinity Tool’s New Sawhorse

When I met DIY Network personality Kayleen McCabe, I knew I needed to connect with her to learn more about her passion for trade careers.

I always look for “aces in places,” people at the top of their fields who I can learn from. That has been one of the keys to my success as an entrepreneur over the years — I proactively reach out to others to open my eyes to things I wouldn’t have thought of on my own and inspire new ideas. Bringing together people with different expertise and perspectives can only result in the best ideas coming together to create superior results.

Kayleen is at the top of her game, and I walk away from every conversation with her with new insights. Because I respect and admire her opinion so much, I brought her to The Point at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, on March 19 to take a look at the prototype of Affinity Tool’s new Bora All-Terrain Sawhorse.

I won’t lie, I was almost giddy when she said,

“This is so easy to use! I have needed this at so many work sites over the years, and now it’s here!”

Not only was she impressed with the prototype, she was also impressed with the process. By tapping into the fresh ideas and perspectives of the students in the Engineering Department at my alma mater, I ensured that the sawhorse will be a forward-thinking, game-changing product.

With Kayleen’s stamp of approval, I know this product is something that tradespeople need to make their jobs easier. Once the new Bora All-Terrain Sawhorse is on the market, you’ll find it on Kayleen’s worksites across the country.

About Kayleen McCabe

Kayleen McCabe Loves STABLZ SawhorseThink construction is a guys-only field?  Think again! Licensed contractor Kayleen McCabe has been swinging hammers and toting tool belts since the ripe age of six, when she shadowed her dad’s overhaul of their Denver home. In 2009 she beat dozens of male competitors Stud Finder to win her own series.

For five seasons, DIY Network’s Rescue Renovation showcased Kayleen’s skills and wit as she swept in and saved almost 100 ill-fated home renovations — from an NFL running back’s kitchen to a coalmine-turned-man-cave.

Kayleen is an ardent advocate of trade careers and education, long seen as inferior to traditional four-year college degrees and white-collar jobs. Her goal is to shed light on the rising demand for trade professionals that’s outpacing vocational training – and to help restore America’s respect for the trades in the process.

“It solves a universal, long-standing problem — stability in shops, garages, or on job sites. Our users are going to appreciate the convenience and safety that STABLZ brings to their work,” said Connor Ursell, business development manager for Affinity.

“STABLZ gives Affinity a competitive edge over existing products on the market, which are using old design and technology. From a business standpoint, STABLZ is a big deal — it’s unique, patented, nobody else has it, and it solves a real problem,” Ursell added.

Initially, Affinity will offer the STABLZ Tradesman as a product for individual purchase in fall 2019. Then Affinity will incorporate STABLZ technology into a number of their existing products under their Bora brand. “We’ve been working closely with STABLZ to develop solutions and prototypes specific to our needs,” Ursell said.

According to entrepreneur and founder of STABLZ Gary Hoyle, “STABLZ is scalable to any size and product, and our ability to quickly prototype those products makes us an ideal partner.”

To develop STABLZ products, Hoyle tapped into creative, up-and-coming engineering talent through a collaboration with The Point, an innovation center at his alma mater, Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. “The engineering students

at The Point helped with prototyping, testing, tweaking, and designing variations for different uses,” Hoyle said.

“Working with Gary, the STABLZ team, and the team at Otterbein has been a pleasure,” Ursell said. “There has been a real synergy between STABLZ and Affinity, not only on this product, but also working together as small businesses with similar outlooks on products and speed to market.”

Hoyle has facilitated over a dozen business startups and several product rollouts in a variety of industries, including restaurants, manufacturing, green vehicles, sports, entertainment, home services, and consumer products.
